Ace in Aubergine

Interviews, presentations, and key meetings all call for your A game. Assure your act with attire that accentuates your aptitude.

Here I’ve paired my classic black sheath dress (a wardrobe necessity), with the blazer from my full formal pant suit (it will be 12 years old this spring! Still looks great). There are times when I like not being in a full suit – pairing well-tailored separates showcases some individuality and the ability to build outfits with your own style. It also doesn’t come across as intimidating as a full suit, though it still presents a polished demeanor.

Matching black with the aubergine hue of the blazer provides a dark, and formal column of color without being solid black. Because it is fall, I added my maroon heeled boots, and coupled the look with an infinity scarf I received several years ago as a gift. Would be easy to throw on a coat and gloves if the temperature necessitated.

Amplify your attire with aubergine accents and you’ll ace appearances.

All my best,
