Casually Cool

Calm day? Consider color on color for a casually cool yet corporate combination.

Not every client necessitates a rigorously business professional dress code, and even when some do, not every day requires it. For the days when you need to come across as composed, but don’t have to command the c-suite, coordinate your cardigan’s coloring. And, know that even if you run into your client’s CEO you’ll still look confident.

Here I’ve paired my dark grey sheath dress that I wear all the time with a matching sweater that’s been in my wardrobe since 2010ish. It has a slight ribbon detail around the collar that helps it come across as a bit more structured, and its longer length lets it have pockets (my favorite).  With lighter heels, a silk scarf and a camel colored bag it works well for warmer months, but if needed I could opt for dark hose, shoes and accessories to take the same wardrobe pieces into the fall.

Even on more casual days, you can remain cool while coming across as capable.

All my best,
