Comfort Amidst Chaos While on Camera

When the current climate is catastrophic, and it is challenging to contain your composure, care for yourself with comfortable clothing.
Concerns for our safety (physical, mental, financial, career, future) can be all comprising, and caustic to our confidence. When that is the case, I like to count on comfy clothes to provide a warm cozy cocoon; and when that is coupled with a need to consult while on camera (hello Webex video, I hate you) instead of just via conference call, I choose to chill in cashmere.
For this comforting compilation, I paired silk track pants with a light sheath shell top, and an oversized cardigan. With colors of black & white, the outfit remains corporate enough to consult from home. Pre-Covid, this would be a great fly-day outfit. I found both the sweater and pants on resale at Name Droppers last January a year ago when I was preparing to be frequently flying cross-country for a contract. While I am no longer crisscrossing the country, they remain great wardrobe staples. The blouse I have had for years and wear all the time, and my shoes (not necessary unless I need to actually leave the house) are my favorite Chanel flats – a clutch purchase I made in 2014ish when preparing for a long conference and tons of walking.
We are all consuming a lot of chaos right now and calculating how best to circumnavigate these corrosive and confusing current events. Continue channeling the constructive – the more conscious collaboration we can create, the greater the collective compassion.
All my best, and take care,
