Dominate in Dreamsicle

When your summer day is demanding, but not too dressy dominate in Dreamsicle.

Given my skin tones, I’m usually more drawn to pink hues – orange is my sister’s color of choice (she has a Halloween b-day so it’s a requirement), but this particular shade of sherbet is just right for summer and gives a happy glow to hot days.

The pants have been in my closet since 2010 and are linen. Found them on sale while living in Madison, WI. I wanted some business casual options for client trips (all client trips at that point were more casual in nature), and was excited when I found these – they transitioned well when I moved to Houston and needed to be well dressed in the summer, and they’ve been a good staple in the wardrobe since. The blouse is my go-to white sheath that I wear all the time.

I found this sweater in 2015 at Luxury Garage Sale in Chicago while searching for pieces to wear on an Italian vacation. It was brand new with tags on and Italian – love how it works well for road tripping across the Amalfi Coast tied around my shoulders, or over a sheath blouse for more casual days in the office (we know where I’d prefer to be wearing it though!).

My scarf was a gift in 2016 and does a nice job of adding color and summer energy to outfits – here you can see it both around my neck with the sweater buttoned, or tied to my bag with the sweater open – temperature versatile.

You can read more about my belt, sunglasses, shoes, and bag in a few former posts.

All my best,
