Effortless Efficacy

When time is of the essence and there’s no extra room for error, engage your most effective energy to efficiently exact your efforts.

When you have limited time and need maximum output (aka constant operating state for most consultants – and me this am! – time isn’t a luxury we often are afforded), having wardrobe options that take zero time to plan and don’t get in the way is critical.

For this efficient outfit I paired a simple black suit with a sheath top. The pants are easy as they don’t require a belt, and when matched with a blazer and a top they create a professional appearance. Adding a stable dress shoe and a backpack forms an efficient outfit that enables maximum functionality.

I wrote about these shoes earlier this week, and this backpack was a purchase in 2015 for a European vacation – I wanted a zippered backpack that didn’t clash with my Italian vacation outfits (aka something stylish and not traditionally functional or ugly the way most backpacks are). While I don’t often use it for work as I prefer a work bag (backpacks often come across as looking too young / immature, and they will crease your blazer unattractively), on days when efficiency is the focus, it is very effective.

Engage functional wardrobe staples on days you need effortless efficiency.

All my best,
