Festive Formal

If you feel the need to be formal for the final full work week before festivities, find basics in fun colors.
For this Christmas colored business formal outfit I paired a classic black suit with a bright green silk blouse, and my red soled heels. While each piece isn’t Christmas themed on its own, together it creates a holiday ensemble that still fits the business professional form.
I love this blouse – I found it on sale at Ralph Lauren years ago and just knew it was special. While it is silk, it was blended with a slight bit of stretch which makes it very comfortable to wear. The color is rich emerald – a powerful color. I don’t typically wear much color, but when I do – I enjoy strong hues that compliment a confident outfit. Choosing a corporate look, with classic pieces in bold colors is a great way to add your own personality to work wear. For the holidays it’s the perfect way to professionally acknowledge the time of year without being in a costume or wearing something overt.
My heels are a wardrobe staple that I’ve had since 2010, and this suit I found as separates on resale – it’s a great basic that offers a bit of festive polish because of the jacket’s fabric detail and the sheen of the material.
Cheers to the final full days of work this year, may they bring much fortune.
All my best,
