Haute Halloween

While your Halloween costume may be hot, it’s better to be haute for the office.
Halloween is a big deal in my family – it’s my sister’s birthday, and as a result we have always celebrated. It’s no surprise her favorite color is orange. So, even when I have no plans to dress up (this year I’m on a plane to go see a client) I still like to acknowledge the day.
For a work appropriate Halloween look I paired a classic black button-up blouse with satin trim with a basic black skirt. I found the blouse on resale several years ago and loved it for its understated elegance. The skirt is another resale favorite – and has pockets. Though I kept an all-black look with my attire – adding a camel belt gives just the pop of orange tone the outfit needs to provide a high-end Halloween vibe.
Head to work in haute hemlines, and you’ll handle Halloween handsomely.
All my best,
