Spruce with a Scarf

Spring has sprung, so spruce your standard suits with a scarf.

Can you tell by now I love alliteration? I also love scarves. There’s something stellar about being able to upgrade what would otherwise be a boring work outfit with a standout scarf. This particular scarf was my first, and was tied to my bag a few posts ago – I wear it regularly, but really like how it takes three separate pieces that do not otherwise go together and pulls them into a cohesive outfit that looks perfect for the changing temperatures as we segue into spring.

This blazer is the black version of the grey blazer I was wearing with this scarf a few posts ago – I’ve had it for over 7 years, my skirt was found for my post college internship where I had to wear all black, it’s been in my wardrobe since ’08, but because of its proportions has always been a bit more challenging to pair well with other pieces (so it hasn’t gotten as much wear as I would prefer) – I like how this jacket is a bit more cropped to balance out the high waisted and long length of the skirt.

My sheath blouse I found this past winter on sale at Nordstrom while taking advantage of a week where my client hotel was next to great shopping – I liked how the color while muted was a nice compliment to my other cream and black work sheath tops, adding some additional outfit combination variety.

SELECT SOME SCARVES TO SUPPORT THE SHIFTING SEASONS AND SURELY SPRUCE SOME SOMBER SUITS

All my best,
