Summer Sunsets

Every season has a sunset, and while this summer has been productive, we aren’t exactly sad to see it surrender.

I’m feeling this seasonal shift more than others – closing out a 15 month client project this week that was instrumental in providing stability during a very turbulent time. And while I’ll miss the city of Chicago, my client and all the people I worked with who have been so wonderful, I’m ready to step into the unknown of new client engagements, opportunities, and potential.

Even though I don’t yet know exactly what fall will bring, I’m extremely excited to see many of the initiatives and efforts that were put into the works months and months ago come into fruition.

So, I’m strolling into this last week of summer with some somber salutations – saluting what has been, while peacefully seeking what is to come.

For this last stint of summer I’m strutting along in a cotton stretch dress I’ve had since 2010 – actually bought it for a summer wedding, but with a blazer it wears well for work too. This jacket is a favorite – being denim-ish it is a great transitional wardrobe piece that wears well from spring to late summer; I found it on resale in early 2018, and have worn it all the time since.

Segue into September with wardrobe staples and you’ll sunset summer with style.

All my best,
