Sweater Sense

Use your senses to search for this season’s perfect sweater dress.
Sensible sweater dresses are a great addition to a more casual work wardrobe. Covering, and comfortable they make getting dressed really easy, yet still come across as being put together. I love them for cold weather climates when you need to be warmer than a typical sheath dress. I actually interviewed for my job in Madison, WI (in December) wearing a sweater dress (not this one) – software company with no dress code, so a full suit would have been way too formal.
I love this sweater dress – found it on resale in 2012 with the tags still on it! It’s great on its own or paired with an oversized blazer, and the chunky collar gives it a nice richness. Here I’ve added a thin belt, though it also works well with a chunky belt too. I’ve matched it with a dress shoe though it also goes really well with a dress boot.
Select a sweater dress on days you need your outfit to be simple and straightforward.
All my best,
