Temperate Transition

Temperatures are transitioning and becoming less tepid, and with that comes the need to take on the torture of tolerating heat in tailoring.

I’ve lived and traveled all over the country so I’m very familiar with the need to transfigure a wardrobe from spring to summer while still appearing professional (and respectful of the geographic location – where I live right now (Park City, UT) you can still ski in places…. yet where I’m from (Houston, TX) it’s already boiling. Dressing for those fluctuations is a challenge. I opt for pieces that transform easily – here a suit dress that can easily be worn as part of a full suit with a coat for colder climates, or with a denim blazer for a more summer ready look.

The dress is the same suit sheath from my previous post – like how it looks totally different with a denim blazer instead. The blazer I found winter of ’18 at a resale shop – really love the longer more modern cut.

Tone your threads to take on temperature transitions.

Hope your Memorial Day was thrilling!

All my best,
